Ever since I got my air fryer a few years ago, I have been totally obsessed. Anything that can be cooked in the oven, can be cooked in the air fryer. Except it turns out better (crispier) and cooks faster! They are especially useful during the warm summer months when you don’t want to heat up your whole house with the oven.
I recently figured out that you can line your air fryer with aluminum foil to make the clean up even quicker. This is a total game changer! Anyways, back to these Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas. You need to make these ASAP! 🙂 For the fajita seasoning, I recommend using a homemade recipe like this one from The Recipe Critic. You can use a store-bought one if you need to, but I think homemade tastes much better!
Ingredients for Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas:
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Red bell pepper
- Orange bell pepper
- Red onion
- Olive oil
- Fajita seasoning
- Fresh lime juice
- Tortillas
- Your favorite fajita toppings such as cheese, salsa, avocado, cilantro, etc.
How to make Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas:
In a medium bowl, combine chicken pieces with 1 Tbsp of olive oil, 1 Tbsp of fajita seasoning, and the lime juice. Let marinate for 30 minutes to tenderize the chicken. Once the chicken is done marinating, preheat the air fryer to 390° F.
In another bowl, combine onions, peppers, 1 Tbsp of olive oil, and 1 Tbsp of fajita seasoning.
Lightly coat the air fryer basket with oil or use foil on the bottom. Place the chicken into the air fryer basket, then top with some peppers and onions. Try not to overcrowd the basket so everything cooks evenly. You may have to do two batches.
Cook the chicken and vegetables for 8 minutes. Flip the chicken, then cook another 7-8 minutes or until fully cooked.
Serve on tortillas with cheese, avocado, salsa, etc. and enjoy!

- Your favorite tortillas for serving
- Toppings such as cheese, salsa, avocado, cilantro for serving
